The Town Hall of Tomares is repeating the experience of outdoor cinema in the Patio de las Buganvillas at Hacienda Santa Ana. Screenings will begin on 7th July and will take place every Tuesday until the end of August.
On Tuesday 7th July, the Patio de las Buganvillas at Hacienda Santa Ana will once again become an outdoor cinema. The Town Hall of Tomares has organised a new edition of the Summer Cinema, which will run for eight Tuesdays until 25th August. Entry will be free until capacity is reached, and the venue will offer a snack bar service.
July Schedule: From Dragons to Dinosaurs
The first screening will be How to Train Your Dragon on Tuesday 7th July at 10:30 PM. A week later, on 14th July, Wild Robot will be shown, an animated film that has received good reviews. On 21st July, The Big House, a family comedy, will be screened, and the month will close on 28th July with Jurassic World: The Rebirth, the latest installment of the dinosaur saga.
August: Superheroes and Action Under the Stars
In August, the sessions will start earlier at 10:00 PM. On 4th August, Ne Zha 2, a Chinese animated film, will be shown. On 11th August, it will be the turn of Superman, the return of the DC hero. On 18th August, Mission Impossible: Final Judgment will be screened, with Tom Cruise back in action, and the cycle will conclude on 25th August with Sketch, a Spanish comedy.
The Town Hall wanted to repeat last year's formula, which was very well received by the locals. The Patio de las Buganvillas, with its intimate atmosphere surrounded by nature, becomes a meeting point for families and groups of friends every Tuesday. The initiative aims to provide a cultural leisure alternative during the summer months, without the need to travel to large cities.
For the residents of Tomares, this is an opportunity to enjoy cinema in a unique setting, with the advantage of not having to pay for entry. However, it is advisable to arrive early, as capacity is limited and the best spots fill up quickly. Those who want to enhance the experience can visit the snack bar, where soft drinks, tapas, and, of course, popcorn are sold.
The initiative, besides being a summer plan, has a social component: it promotes neighbourly coexistence and revitalises the historic centre of Tomares. Hacienda Santa Ana is an emblematic space in the municipality, and its patio lends itself to this type of outdoor activity. Last year, the screenings were fully booked, especially the family films.
With this programming, Tomares joins the tradition of summer cinemas that many towns and cities revive each year. A simple and economical way to spend a different night, with the moon and stars as a roof.
