The neighbourhood of Las Almenas will host the first summer velá in Tomares from July 3 to 5, featuring performances by the Orquesta Decibelios, magic, and children's games.

Calle Pepe Marchena in Tomares is set to welcome the traditional Velá de las Almenas from this Friday, July 3, until Sunday, July 5, one of the most anticipated festive events of the summer in the Aljarafe municipality. Organised by the General Community of Las Almenas in collaboration with the Town Hall, the evening will offer a programme featuring live music, magic shows, competitions, and activities for the little ones.

On Friday, the festivities will kick off at 21:00 with a performance by magician Alexis Melgar, who will be joined by Juan Soto 'El Mago'. From 22:00 and again at 00:30, the Orquesta Decibelios will set the rhythm for the night, while Toni Espino will perform at 23:00. The bar service will be available throughout the evening.

On Saturday, July 4, activities will begin at 15:00 with children's games such as a water launcher and face painting. In the evening, at 21:00, the Orquesta Decibelios will take to the stage again, followed at 22:00 by Ercama, who will pay tribute to Mª Antonia Fernández Díaz. At 23:00, Stars Bugs Band will perform, and at 00:30, the Orquesta Decibelios will close the day.

On Sunday, July 5, the programme will resume at 12:00 with competitions for all ages, and at 15:00, children can enjoy a foam cannon. In the evening, at 21:00, the traditional Awards Gala will take place, and at 21:30, the Orquesta Decibelios will provide the grand finale to three days of community togetherness.

The Velá de las Almenas is one of the first major popular festivals of the summer in Tomares, a municipality that organises several velás in different neighbourhoods during the summer months. Last year, attendance exceeded expectations, with hundreds of locals and visitors filling the streets. This year, the organisers hope to replicate that success and encourage everyone to participate in a family-friendly atmosphere.

The Town Hall of Tomares reminds that access to the velá is free and recommends arriving early to enjoy all the activities. For more information, the municipal website or the town hall's social media can be consulted.
